Central Library

As part of the University of Mosul strategy to modernize the Library and adopt a cloud computing culture by using more flexible and less expensive ways to save time and effort, work continues on building the unified automated catalog. The project relies on the Koha system which is one of the most famous open-source global systems, known for its flexibility and proficiency in managing bibliographic records. So far, approximately 28,000 cataloged bibliographic records have been entered according to the latest international bibliographical description (MARC 21 and RDA). The unified catalog, which is available on the official website of the University of Mosul, allows users to search for various information resources in the database of the Central Library and its affiliated sub-libraries to contribute to improving the quality of scientific research.
