Within the framework of the directives of the Presidency of the University of Mosul to work to strengthen the scientific infrastructure and provide a modern academic environment that sustains the scientific research and contributes to raising the university’s classification, and within the Central l library Restoration Project implemented by UNESCO, the Secretary-General of the University Libraries, Assistant Professor Dr.Muhammad Jassim Muhammad, held a meeting With a representative of the JSTOR Foundation and in the presence of a representative of UNESCO This meeting came to discuss mechanisms for enabling our university researchers to access the valuable scientific resources offered by the JSTOR platform, which is considered one of the most prominent global academic databases in various disciplines. An introductory presentation was given about the institution, during which a representative of JSTOR reviewed the most valuable resources, magazines and peer-reviewed scientific periodicals provided by the platform, in addition to the services it provides to support scientific research The subscription in scientifically and internationally known publishing houses is not only limited to supporting scientific research, but it is also
considered one of the main indicators in raising the university’s global ranking and enhances the elements of ensuring the quality of education by enabling students and researchers to access reliable sources accredited in major universities and research institutions around the world.
