Central Library

Within the framework of the directives of the University Presidency on the necessity of keeping abreast with digital transformation and modernizing the information infrastructure, the Secretary-General of
the Central Library, Assistant Professor Dr.Muhammad Jassim Muhammad held a meeting in the Central Library with the technical team of the Holy Abbasid Shrine specialized in creating the first digital repository for university theses and dissertations at the university, in the presence of Mr. Hammam Talal, Director of the Central Library Restoration Project.
During the meeting, they discussed the importance of digital transformation in preserving the academic production and making it available electronically to the researchers and the students as a qualitative step that promoes the university’s position in the field of the open access and the digital knowledge.
This meeting comes in conjunction with the continuation of the technical training programs held inside the Central Library in the field of electronic indexing and archiving, which is done by a specialized technical staff from the Holy Abbasid Shrine within the Central Library restoration project implemented by UNE
