Assistant Professor Dr.Muhammad Jassim Muhammad, Secretary General of University Libraries, participated in the membership of the committee discussing a doctoral thesis in the College of Arts entitled
“The Application of Iceberg Theory to the Translation of Stable and Dynamic Elements in English Literary Texts into Arabic”
Applying the iceberg theory in translating fixed and moving elements in English literary texts into Arabic, on Thursday, May 8, 2025, part of which was attended by Professor Dr.Hatem Fahd Hanno, Dean of the College.
The study presented by student Atheel Abdel Khaleq Saeed in the Department of Translation touched on the application of Edward T.Hall’s Iceberg Theory of Culture to the translation of fixed and moving elements in English literary texts. The thesis was approved with a very good grade
