In the presence of the Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, Director of the Libraries of the University of Mosul, and a group of professors, lecturers and students, and on the sidelines of the First International Book Forum and Fair in Mosul, a group of dialogue sessions were held today, October 27, 2025, on the fair’s platform ,Student Center Gardens.
The activities include:
– The first dialogue session, title of the session: (Education and its role in promoting the culture of political participation in Iraq) delivered by A.M .Dr. Younis Muayyad Younis, interviewed by M .Dr. Firas Mohammed Ahmed,Faculty of Political Science.

– The second dialogue session, title of the session: (Practical proposals to address water scarcity and raise the intensity of water use) delivered by A.M.Dr. Anmar Abdel Aziz Talib, interviewed by Dr. Ahmed Ali Muhammad/Faculty of Engineering.

– The third dialogue session, title of the session: (From rubble to leadership, the experience of the University of Mosul in restoring its cultural and cognitive role) delivered by A .Dr. Alaa Abdel Hussein, interviewed by Dr. Asan Hashem Hamdoun, College of Tourism Sciences.

The fourth dialogue session, title of the session: (Reading is a tool for enlightenment, how does reading enable us to understand the world?) delivered by Mr. Hussein Sadoun, interviewed by Mr. Ali Kitto,Association of Publishers and Writers in Iraq.
The fifth dialogue session , title of the Session :(The Identity of Place :Mosul Architecture between Memory and Renewal), Speakers: Ms. Maysoun Al-Damluji and Ms. Sahar Mohammed Kharoufa, interviewed by Dr. Abbas Jawar,Iraq Publishers and Writers Association.
