Central Library

The committee was received by the Honorable President of Dayala University, Professor Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, and the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Amer Mohammed Ibrahim, along with Professor Dr. Salam Jassim Abdullah Director -General of the Central Library at Dayala University. An official meeting was held to discuss university library files and ways to improve their performance and developing their services in accordance with the requirements of digital transformation and recent developments in the field of information and knowledge technologies.
During the meeting, they reviewed the position of university libraries and the challenges they face, underscoring the importance of modernizing digital infrastructure, developing information services, and enhancing access to electronic information sources in a way that contributes to supporting the educational process and scientific research in Iraqi universities.
The visit also included a field tour to the General Directorate of the Central Library at the University of Dayala, where the committee was briefed on the traditional and electronic information services provided by the library, mechanisms for organizing information sources, and efforts of transformation towards the modern digital systems. The committee heard a comprehensive explanation of the approved development experiences and praised the efforts made in this field, emphasizing the importance of supporting these experiences and disseminating them to improve the position of university libraries and achieving the quality of the library services.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Director -General of the Libraries of the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, was honored with a letter of thanks and appreciation submitted by the President of the University of Dayala, in appreciation of his distinguished efforts ,his dedication and active participation in the works of the Ministerial Committee and his contributions to supporting and developing the position of the fourth university libraries.
