Under the auspices of the Honorable President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision and in the presence of the Director of the University of Mosul Libraries, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, and as part of the activities of the Continuing Education Division at the Central Library, a course tagged “Automated Cataloging of Theses According to RDA rules and MARC 21 Standard Using the Koha System” was held from February 22-26, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Central Library. The course was presented by the lecturer Rawaa Salah Al-Din Ziada, and Assistant lecturer Shatha Ahmed Dhanoun and Ms. Rafal Khalid Hussein.

The course was coordinated by Assistant lecturer Halla Abdul-Munem.

The course covered training and qualifying participants in the automated cataloguing of university theses using the Koha system. including the practical application of MARC 21 and RDA rules, underscoring the accurate creation and editing of bibliographic records, adjusting fields and indicators, and improving the quality of automated catalog in university libraries.
