Under the auspices of the Honorable president of the Mosul University Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Ibrahim, and under the supervision and presence of the Director of the University of Mosul Libraries, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, the Continuing Education Division in the Central Library, in cooperation with Department of Studies and Planning and Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul organized the workshop entitled (Drugs and their impact on
the individual and society) On Tuesday 3/3/2026.it was delivered by: Assistant Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdu l Hadi, Lecturer Dr. Reem Nawaf Hamoud, and coordinated and presented by Assistant Professor Halla Abdul Monem. The workshop discussed the topic of drugs, their types, risks, and effects on the body, symptoms of abuse, examination methods, the reasons that push a person to abuse, methods of preventing them, and their physiological effects on the body… and the role of the family and society in reducing this phenomenon. Thus, the workshop achieved each of the following goals: Third goal good health and well-being, Fourth goal: good education: Gender Equality, Sixteenth goal: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions from the Sustainable Development Goals
