In line with the directives of the Presidency of the Mosul University towards developing the university work environment, keeping pace with the requirements of digital transformation, and  boosting the role of libraries in supporting scientific and research progress, the Director of the Mosul University Libraries, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, held a meeting with the librarians of the branch libraries to discuss the situation of library work and ways to develop the services offered to users.

The meeting discussed following up on the work of the Koha System (KOHA) for library management, and underscored the importance of updating bibliographic data, organizing the library collections, ensuring the accuracy of recording books and scientific resources, and making them available through the electronic catalog, which contributes to facilitating the access of the students and researchers to information sources.

The meeting also discussed the mechanisms for developing performance, updating the library work procedures, and enhancing the coordination and cooperation between branch libraries and the use of electronic systems and digital technologies to organize resources and manage library operations thereby

supporting the efficiency of the work and

raising the level of information services provided to users.           .
