Central Library

Based on the vision of Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President of the University of Mosul, to attract the attention of all Nineveh Province’s intellectuals and students on the University to be a source of inspiration for them, and under the supervision of , Secretary-General of the University Libraries, a group of teachers and pupils from Hammam Al-Aleel Secondary School for boys visited the Central Library. The visit was within the program of the scientific school trip to the University to show students the cultural and scientific importance of the Library to the University and City and to inform them about the crimes of the ideas darkness adopted by the terrorist groups of ISIS, which resulted in the burning of the Library which was a major loss not only to the University and City, but also to all humanity. The students were briefed of the various sources and periodicals in the Library, which constitute a priceless scientific and human wealth. Mr. Khalid Ibrahim, one of the School’s teachers expressed the group’s appreciation and gratitude to the University Presidency and the General Secretariat of the University Libraries for giving them this special opportunity to visit one of the most important symbols of the University, and he added that the visit will undoubtedly contribute to the creation of a generation of students that value the importance of libraries and books in study and life.
