In implementation of the directives of the University of Mosul Presidency, represented by the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and based on the directives of the Scientific Affairs Department regarding the necessity of faculty members in research centers attending scientific workshops, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center, attended, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Yassin Yousef, Assistant Professor Dr. Arouba Jamil Mahmoud, and Assistant Professor Dr. Hanaa Jassim Mohammed, a faculty member in the Department of Historical and Social Studies at the Mosul Studies Center, participated in a workshop on the Science Day Awards, organized by the Department of Scientific Affairs. The workshop, held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in the meeting hall of the new university administration building, was attended by the university president and his deputies for scientific and administrative affairs. The workshop addressed the mechanism for selecting, submitting, and preparing the necessary materials for scientific activities, including books, research papers, graduation projects, and other submissions for the 2025-2026 academic year.

It also included a review of the requirements for electronic evaluation and the development of plans to expand the university’s participation in the awards, thereby highlighting its academic and research achievements and enhancing its national presence.
