Vision , Mission , Objectives

Vision:

To diffuse the intellectual, historical, and cultural output of the city of Mosul, and to build bridges of cultural communication with the different peoples of the world.

Mission:

-The center’s mission is to enhance awareness of the local history and heritage of Mosul, to record it according to the latest scientific curricula, and to promote it on the largest scale through a solid strategy that seeks to raise awareness and educate about it according to scientific activities and programs held by the center throughout a year, and to open channels for partnership and cooperation with various scientific and cultural bodies at the local and global levels.

– Providing a scientific thinking tank reference that works to provide specialized consultations, and produce research, studies, programs, and projects for supporting the development process in the city of Mosul, serving the community, and building strategic partnerships with the public and private sectors.

Objectives:

– Accentuating the cultural and historical landmarks of the city of Mosul, creating a database of those landmarks, and presenting it to researchers.

– Conservation of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage, maintaining cultural diversity in light of the urgent need to document it in a way that guarantees its survival and sustainability, in accordance with the latest scientific and technical methods, and striving to place it on the list of world heritage that belongs to the UNISCO.

– Carrying out future projects that document the colloquial dialect of the city of Mosul, as a unique dialect, and preserving it from fading and extinction.

– Strengthening the relationship between the university and the diverse Mosul community through seminars, conferences, cultural seasons, photographic documentation, bringing to light its most important literary and scientific symbols, and disseminating the heritage and cultural history of the city of Mosul by writing and printing books on various aspects of the diverse literary, scientific, historical, and heritage life.
