Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul,
and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center,
and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit/Presidency of the University of Mosul,
a memorandum of understanding for joint publication and cooperation was signed between the College of Archaeology, represented by its Dean, Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdul Karim Mohammed Ali, and the Mosul Studies Center, represented by Professor Dr. Maysoun Dhunoun Al-Abaiji, Editor-in-Chief of the Mosul Studies Journal. This memorandum focuses on publishing research related to archaeological and heritage architecture in Nineveh Governorate, aiming to open avenues for scientific cooperation in academic journals, thus contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 4, 8, 11, and 17. The signing ceremony was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center; Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Ahmed Al-Obaidi, Acting Director of the Department of Literary Studies and Documentation at the Center and Editor-in-Chief of the Mosul Studies Journal; and Mr. Basil Ayad Saeed, representing the Dean of the College of Archaeology.
