In implementation of the directives of the University of Mosul Presidency, represented by the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, to attend workshops related to the divisions and units of the University of Mosul Presidency, the Director of the Mosul Studies Center, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nizar Al-Dabbagh, accompanied by Mr. Mazen Mayouf Ahmed (authorized paper mail), attended a workshop held by the Central Post Office at the University of Mosul Presidency on work automation and digital transformation to electronic archiving on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the University of Mosul Scientific and Literary Forum. The workshop was for authorized persons of colleges, academic departments, centers, and research units for paper and electronic mail.
The workshop aimed to highlight the electronic transformation of the work systems of colleges, centers, and divisions and the automation of their information. The workshop was moderated by Mr. Suleiman Nabil Ghanem, head of the division, and attended by its members and those of units and divisions in the colleges and research centers. The lecturers, who participated in the workshop for an hour and a half, introduced the most important mechanisms for the division’s work and its most important units, as well as the latest technologies used in archiving incoming and outgoing books and employee work related matters, ensuring timely completion and speedy completion. They also presented solutions to the challenges facing the work in this transformation, whether technical, administrative, human resources, or organizational. They also highlighted the importance of developing the work environment, qualifying and training employees, and developing the technical infrastructure. The Director of the Mosul Studies Center had a series of interventions and inquiries about digital mail, which were answered by the lecturers. This contributes to achieving the following objectives:
Goal Four: Quality education (because it helps improve the quality of electronic follow-up).
Goal Nine: Because it encourages industry, innovation, and infrastructure in educational institutions, contributes to simplifying administrative processes and improving the efficiency of institutional performance.
Goal Twelve: Related to responsible consumption and production, by reducing reliance on paper printing and also contributing to reducing paper consumption. Goal 17: Partnerships
Enhancing effective and continuous communication with local and international partners via email.
