Tasks

The Center’s duties include the following:

  1. Establish the plans and programs for training, capacity building, scientific research, and studies that connect with the Center’s vision, mission, and goals.
  2. Provide the field, theoretical, and applied research on peacebuilding and its effects on society that are required by development programs.
  3. Provide databases related to the Center’s specialization and ensure communication with national and international information databases.
  4. Publish the scientific researches and studies to circulate them to the relevant partners as well as, contribute to deepening scientific awareness about peacebuilding through conferences, seminars, scientific meetings and training courses at the national, Arab and international levels.
  5. Exchange the expertise with experts and researchers from inside and outside of Iraq and offer specialized consultations on topics and policies submitted to the Center through universities and relevant government institutions.
  6. Implementing the projects that contribute to spreading the culture of community peace and confronting extremism in all its forms at the local, regional and international levels, and developing the capabilities of all those concerned in this regard.
