In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, who taught by the pen, and taught mankind what they did not know.

I am pleased to express my pride and honor in being part of this esteemed academic institution, the University of Mosul, which, throughout its long history, has been a cornerstone in the development of higher education in Iraq, a cultural and civilizational beacon for the city of Mosul, and a symbol of resilience and ambition in the most challenging circumstances.

At the Department of Reconstruction and Projects, we bear a significant responsibility that extends beyond the traditional concept of reconstruction. Our role encompasses strategic planning, sustainable development, and the enhancement of the university environment to meet global standards. We believe that reconstruction is not merely about restoring buildings, but rather it is a comprehensive process aimed at creating an advanced academic environment that is worthy of our students, faculty, and all those working on campus.

About the Department

The Department of Construction and Projects is responsible for overseeing all engineering activities related to the university’s departments. The work is carried out in accordance with engineering specifications, the Resident Engineer’s manual, and general contracting terms. This begins with identifying the needs of each college or center within the university and developing future plans for upcoming projects. The department also focuses on selecting the appropriate location for each project, in addition to ensuring the proper development of the infrastructure for these departments, all with the goal of creating the best possible university environment that aligns with advancements in the scientific and engineering fields.
