Assist. Prof. Dr. Nawfal Qasim Ali Al-Shahwan, Head of the Economic and Social Studies Department at Regional Studies Center, has taken part in the electronic training course titled: (Zoom Meeting and Webinar: Practice with Tips) which was organized by the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Department of Software, on Thursday, 14 May 2020. The course explained how to use the “Zoom” program to hold video meetings, how to distinguish between using the program to manage a meeting or seminar, how to apply it, and the most important advice to the users of the program.
Dr. Al-Shahwan also participated in the cyber scientific workshop held by the Scientific Promotions Committee at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Mosul University under the title: “Strengthening the Role of Scientific Promotions under Lockdown”, on May 13, 2020. The workshop focused on the new law for scientific promotion in Iraq, the mechanism for online promotion submitting and explaining the process of promotion submitting, beside the approved mechanisms for scientific promotion, filling in the specified tables within the instructions received and clarifying the concept of scientific activities required by the faculty member for the purposes of scientific promotion.
