Regional Studies Center Holds a Scientific Workshop Entitled Economic and Psychological Factors and their Role in Learning Motivation of Iraqi University Students

The Regional Studies Center/Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Presidency of the Mosul University/Studies and Planning Department/Sustainable Development Unit, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Economic and Psychological Factors and Their Role in the Learning Motivation of Iraqi University Students” by Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Khalaf Mohammad to highlight the effects that both economic and psychological factors play on the level of learning motivation of university students in Iraq on February 2, 2025.
The workshop addressed how the difficult economic conditions in the country affect students’ study orientations, in addition to the impact of psychological aspects such as psychological pressures and tensions faced by students on their academic performance.
At the end of the workshop, participants expressed the importance of cooperation between universities, economic institutions, and governmental bodies to develop effective strategies to support students, emphasizing the need to create a learning environment that helps overcome economic and psychological challenges, thus improving academic performance and stimulating learning motivation among university youth..
