Joint Virtual Scientific Symposium
As part of the scientific activities organized by Regional Studies Center, the Department of History at the Faculty of Education -Samarra University, in cooperation with Public Policies Department at Regional Studies Center – Mosul University held a joint online scientific symposium entitled ((Coronavirus and its impact on international relations: a study in its political, economic and social dimensions), on Saturday, 16/5/2020. The seminar was managed by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Mahmood Allo (Head of History Department / Faculty of Education / University of Samarra) and the course rapporteur was Assist. Prof. Dr. Ziyad Abdul-Wahab Al-Nuaimi (Head of Public Policies Department / Regional Studies Center).The seminar was through the ” Google Meet” program, which was attended by more than 250 researchers from inside and outside Iraq. It covered the political, economic, and social dimensions of the global pandemic of Coronavirus and included the following participating papers:
1- Assist. Prof. Luqman Omar Mahmood / Director of Regional Studies Center – University of Mosul:
“The Political Dimensions of the Coronavirus Globally”
2- Assist. Prof. Ali Hamza Abbas / Head of History Department – Faculty of Basic Education – University of Mosul:
“The Social Dimensions of the Coronavirus Internationally”
3- Assist. Prof. Fawaz Mwafak Thanoon / Department of History – Faculty of Education for Humanities – University of Mosul:
” Coronavirus pandemic and its impact on international relations and organizations”
4- Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hamzah Hussein and Assist. Prof. Dr. Lubna Riyadh Abdul -Majeed / lecturers at the Department of History / Faculty of Education / University of AL-Hamdaniya:
“The economic effects of the Coronavirus on the world”
5- Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Mahmood Allo and Assist. Prof. Dr. Idris Namis Dahham / lecturers at the Department of History / Faculty of Education / University of Samarra:
“Iraqi economy and the challenges of low oil prices in light of the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic”.
Finally, attendance certificates were granted to the participants.
