Regional Studies Center

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, Regional Studies Center in cooperation with the House of Iraqi Expertise Foundation and the Center for Middle Eastern Studies “ORSAM” in Turkey, held a joint international electronic scientific symposium titled (Coronavirus pandemic Regional and international implications; it’s political, economic and social dimensions), on June 15, 2020.
The symposium aims to activate the mechanisms of mutual scientific cooperation with the parallel academic and research institutions inside and outside Iraq based on the agreements of scientific cooperation between our Center and the House of Iraqi Expertise Foundation and the Center for Middle Eastern Studies “ORSAM” .The symposium also intends to shed more light on the Coronavirus pandemic of and its regional and international repercussions and their political, economic, and social impacts by the participation of the researchers inside and outside the Center through the lectures that they gave during two sessions.
The first session was managed by Assist. Prof. Dr. Khalid Esam Al-Nuaimi – Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education for Girls at Mosul University. While the second session was administered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ziyad Abdul-Wahab Al-Nuaimi, Head of the Public Policies Department at Regional Studies Center. At the end of the symposium, the recommendations were read by Dr. Hashim Hasan Hussein Al-Shahwani; discussions were held by participants, then certificates of appreciation were distributed to the attendees.
