Regional Studies Center held a seminar by Dr. “Afrah Nather Jassem Al-Azzawi” entitled “Turkey’s policy towards the Libyan crisis 2011-2021” in the presence of the Center’s researchers, on March 2, 2022.Al-Azzawi indicated that the research aimed to study the Turkish policy towards the Libyan crisis, the tools, and objectives of this policy, and its repercussions on the Libyan situation.The researcher added that the research included a study of the economic, political, and strategic goals and the foundations of Turkish policy towards the Libyan crisis and included four sections. The first section dealt with the importance of Libya in Turkish foreign policy and Libyan-Turkish relations until 2011. While the second one tackled the policy of waiting and redressing situations (2011-2014). The third section studied the subject of Turkey and the proxy war policy (2015-2019), and finally, the fourth section involved the Libyan-Turkish memoranda of understanding and the legalization of military intervention (2019-2020).
