Regional Studies Center Holds a Scientific Symposium on Russian-Ukrainian War and its Regional and International Repercussions
Regional Studies Center held its scientific symposium (55) on December 22, 2022, entitled “The Russian-Ukrainian War and its Regional and International Repercussions” in the presence of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi.The symposium aimed at shedding light on the Russian-Ukrainian war, knowing its course, analyzing its expected results at the regional and international levels, and showing its political and economic effects, especially in the field of energy, as well as seeking to anticipate the future of this war and its reflections, especially on the Middle East region.The symposium included two sessions preceded by an opening speech.The researchers participating in the symposium covered, through their research papers, the dimensions of the aforementioned war on global affairs, as well as a review of the historical roots of the crisis. Then the symposium reviewed the international and regional positions towards the war, and finally the aftermaths of this war on European security.The symposium included a number of relevant discussions. At the end of the symposium, the recommendations of the participants were read out, followed by honoring the former directors with the Center’s shield, as an appreciation for their efforts.
