Regional Studies Center Holds a Seminar on Iranian-Russian Relations in the Military Field
Regional Studies Center held a seminar for the research entitled “Iranian-Russian relations in the military field 2011-2023,” presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Khalaf Muhammad, on April 7, 2024.
The seminar aimed to know the nature of Iranian-Russian military relations, the size, and type of Russian weapons exported to Iran, and land, sea, and air arms deals between the two countries, in addition to knowing the military and security agreements and cooperation in the Syrian arena during the Syrian crisis, as well as Iranian support for Russia in its war against Ukraine.
The seminar included three axes: the first discussed Iranian-Russian arms deals, the second axis dealt with joint military maneuvers and bases between the two sides, and the third reviewed Iranian-Russian cooperation in the Syrian arena, and Iranian support for Russia in the latter’s war against Ukraine.
