Regional Studies Center Holds a Seminar on Iran’s Foreign Policy Towards Egypt
On Sunday, December 22, 2024, Regional Studies Center organized a seminar by Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Khalaf Mohammad entitled “Iranian Foreign Policy towards Egypt 2011-2021.” The seminar aimed to analyze the development of relations between Iran and Egypt during the last decade, highlighting the political and economic changes that affected the policies of the two countries.

The episode addressed several topics, including: reviewing Iranian-Egyptian relations in the pre-2011 period, the impact of the Arab Spring on Iran’s vision of Egypt and its regional role, and assessing Iranian attitudes towards the political regimes in Egypt after the revolution. Analyzing the political and diplomatic factors affecting the rapprochement or divergence between the two countries, and finally looking ahead to the future of bilateral relations in light of regional and international changes.
The seminar was attended by researchers and those interested in regional affairs, and included discussions that enriched the topic and contributed to deepening the common understanding of the issue.
