Regional Studies Center Organizes a Scientific Lecture on Renewable Energy and its Role in Preserving the Environment
Regional Studies Center organized a scientific lecture entitled “Renewable Energy and its role in preserving the environment”, presented by Prof. Dr. Luqman Omar Mahmood Al-Nuaimi on February 12, 2025. The lecture comes within a series of events that aim to raise awareness about environmental and energy issues in the region.
The lecture focused on the importance of renewable energy in addressing the environmental challenges the world is facing, especially in light of climate change and pollution from traditional energy sources. In his talk, Al Nuaimi discussed the latest innovations in the fields of solar, wind and hydroelectric energy, explaining how these sources can contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting the environment from degradation.
He also highlighted the role of countries in supporting clean energy technologies through sustainable policies and strategies that contribute to green growth. The lecture concluded with a discussion session in which attendees exchanged ideas and opinions on ways to implement these solutions in the region.
