The seminar was delivered by Assist. Lecturer Nasir Mutlag Abid, Media and Government Communication Officer at the Center.

The seminar aimed to highlight the vast potential offered by digital media platforms in spreading awareness and knowledge, and to explore how these modern tools can be effectively utilized to serve sustainable development issues and strengthen community culture.

The seminar addressed two main themes. The first reviewed the concepts, evolution, and tools of digital media, while the second focused on its pivotal role in conveying development messages—particularly in relation to ensuring quality education (Goal 4), achieving gender equality and empowering women (Goal 5), and strengthening global partnerships to achieve the goals (Goal 17). The discussion also examined mechanisms for employing digital media in health and environmental education, as well as its role in building informed communities capable of actively contributing to the implementation of national development plans.

The seminar concluded with a set of recommendations emphasizing the importance of producing purposeful digital content that meets quality standards, training media professionals in engaging digital storytelling techniques, and enhancing cooperation between academic and media institutions to ensure meaningful societal impact in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
