Regional Studies Center Holds Meeting to Discuss New Academic Year Plan

The academic staff at the Regional Studies Center – University of Mosul held a meeting on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. to review and draft the annual plan for the 2026/2027 academic year, as part of early preparations for the center’s research and scientific programs and to strengthen its role in serving both the university and the broader community.

The meeting reviewed and evaluated performance from the 2025/2026 academic year, assessing key accomplishments across research, studies, seminars, conferences, and scientific activities. Attendees also addressed operational challenges and obstacles while establishing priorities for the upcoming period.

Discussions focused on refining research methodologies, broadening scope for academic cooperation, and translating the annual plan into measurable outcomes and programs. The efforts aim to reinforce the center’s standing as a scholarly platform that contributes to understanding regional issues and anticipating Iraq’s future challenges.
