Public Policies Department Holds an Online Workshop on the Coronavirus Crisis
The Department of Public Policies at Regional Studies Center at Mosul University has organized an important workshop entitled (the Academic Vision on the Coronavirus Crisis), on April 20, 2020, with the participation and attendance of some lecturers at the Center and outside it. This workshop comes within the series of electronic scientific activities held by the Center on the Corona pandemic. It aimed to highlight the academic vision of the Corona crisis in terms of linguistic, idiomatic, historical, political, economic, educational, and legal aspects. The titles of the working papers discussed in the workshop came as follows:
1-The disease, epidemic, pandemic, and disaster; the requirements of terms and legal procedures; Dr. Jumana Mohammad Nayif Al-Dulaimy.
2-The Coronavirus Crisis: The Historical Dimensions of pandemics in the World: Dr. Hashim Hasan Hussein Al-Shahwany.
3-Coronavirus and conspiracy theory: by Dr. Faris Turky Mahmood AL-Juboory.
4-The repercussions of low oil prices on Iraq: Dr. Mithaq Khairallah Jallud AL-Qarrah Ghuli.
5-The World Health Organization: Combating the Corona crisis and the accusation of corruption: Dr. Khalida Ibrahim Khalil Al-Habeity.
6-Corona’s impact on the education sector: Dr. Afrah Nathir Jasim Al-Azzawy.
7-States’ responsibility towards individuals in light of the Corona crisis: Dr. Ziyad Abdul-Wahab Al-Nuaimy.
The workshop was attended by several lecturers from outside the Center ; (Dr. Fawaz Mwafaq Thanoon Al-Jalily, Dr. Mohammad Hamza Hussein Al-Dulaimy, and Mrs. Warqqa Mohammad) and others. The workshop came out with some conclusions and recommendations that will be published with the participating working papers in (Regional Views) released by the Center in a special issue on the Corona crisis and its various consequences. At the end of the workshop, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participants:
