Regional Studies Center held a seminar by Dr. “Fares Turki Mahmood Al-Jubouri”, a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Public Policies for his research titled “American Policy towards Egypt 2008-2018”, in the presence of the Center’s researchers on Wednesday, June 24, 2020.
Al-Jubouri said that his research studies the policy adopted by the United States towards Egypt after the Obama administration came to power, as that administration dealt with the many changes that took place in the Egyptian arena. He added that the research aims to enhance and increase knowledge on American foreign policy, especially towards the Arab region, in terms of its mechanisms and foundations, how it was transformed from one strategy to another; the factors and reasons behind that, and whether those related to the American interior situation or those imposed by the regional and international circumstances.
