Assistant Lecturer Fawzi Muhammad Saleh Al-Abadi published a book  entitled “Suleiman Demirel and the True Path Party (1983-1997), by Mashki Publication House for Printing, Publishing and Distribution, Iraq – Mosul, which is the first edition 2023. The book includes (222) pages.

The book aims to examine the life of Suleiman Demirel and his party, the True Path Party. The author pointed out that the importance of the book comes from the fact that Suleiman Demirel is considered one of the key Turkish figures who came from the Turkish countryside and was able, through his qualifications and merit, to play a major role in the political life in Turkey, where he served as Prime Minister seven times and was elected President of the Republic for seven years and has many performances. He had a role in making many political decisions that have had a clear powerful effect on public life in Turkey.

The book includes four chapters, in addition to the introduction and conclusion. The first chapter highlighted the True Path Party’s political life in Turkey until 1983. The second chapter dealt with the biography and life of Suleiman Demirel and his political activity until 1980. The third chapter reviewed the establishment of the True Path Party. In the Fourth chapter, the author focused on the party’s positions and its role in the Turkish political map until 1997. It is worth noting that the author had traveled to Turkey more than once and met the former President of the Turkish Republic, Suleiman Demirel, personally in 2011 and held a detailed dialogue with him.
