Regional Studies Center

As part of its continuous efforts to develop academic and research performance, the Board of Directors of Regional Studies Center held its fifth regular meeting on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., under the direction of the Center’s Director, Prof. Dr. Mithaq Khairallah Jalloud, and in the presence of all board members.
The meeting aimed to discuss the implementation of the directives of the university presidency related to changing the name of the center and its scientific journal, as part of the university’s vision to modernize the identity of academic institutions in line with scientific and regional changes. The board also discussed the new books recently bought from the Erbil International Book Fair and ways to benefit from them to support the research and studies projects adopted by the center.
At the end of the meeting, the importance of continuing to develop the center’s knowledge structure and enhancing its role as an effective research platform in studying and analyzing regional issues to serve the academic community and decision-makers was emphasized.
