Regional Studies Center

The Board of Directors of Regional Studies Center at the University of Mosul held its seventh regular meeting on Thursday, May 15, 2025, under the chairmanship of the Center’s Director, Prof. Dr. Mithaq Khairallah Jallud, and in the presence of the board members.
The meeting aimed to follow up on the implementation of the directives of the University of Mosul Presidency and the speedy response to official books, reflecting the center’s commitment to strengthening its research and organizational role within the university system. The meeting discussed ways to develop the publication process in the Journal of Regional Studies to enhance and support its accession to international repositories. The board also discussed the stages of completion of the scientific activities included in the center’s plan for the current year, stressing the importance of adhering to the predetermined dates to ensure the quality of implementation and achieving the desired goals.
The meeting addressed the continuation of organizing seminars and scientific workshops, especially those related to sustainable development issues, because of their importance in providing scientific visions and proposals that serve the university and the community. The meeting also raised the idea of organizing a voluntary activity during the coming period that serves the center’s goals of strengthening its connection with the community and stimulating academic awareness and social responsibility.
