Regional Studies Center

As part of efforts to enhance academic cooperation with local government institutions, a delegation from the Regional Studies Center at the University of Mosul visited the Nineveh Governorate headquarters on 3 June 2025. They were received by Mr. Abdul Qadir Al-Dakhil, Governor of Nineveh.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for joint cooperation, particularly in strategic studies, public policies, and local development research. Both parties emphasized the importance of leveraging academic expertise to support reconstruction efforts and promote stability in the governorate.

For his part, the Governor commended the role of the University of Mosul and its research centers in supporting decision-makers, stressing the need to activate memorandums of understanding and research partnerships to serve sustainable development in Nineveh.

This visit is part of a series of proactive steps taken by the Center to strengthen its presence in the decision-making environment and establish channels for effective collaboration with various official entities.
