Hattrick Publishing, Printing, and Distribution has announced the 2025 release of a new book titled ” Cyber Conflicts and Wars between the World’s Major Powers and their Implications for International Security in the 21st Century” by a group of academics and experts, including Prof. Dr. Imad Khalil Ibrahim, researcher and lecturer at the Regional Studies Center.

The book offers an in-depth examination of the accelerating transformations in the field of cybersecurity, where digital spaces have evolved into strategic battlegrounds between major powers such as the United States, Russia, China, and Iran.

Its primary aim is to raise global awareness about the grave dangers of cyber warfare and to support international efforts in developing legal and security frameworks that safeguard digital infrastructure.

Through this work, the authors document major cyberattacks targeting critical infrastructure, economic systems, and political institutions, shedding light on the legal and ethical challenges of such conflicts in a world where traditional international law struggles to keep pace. The book combines rigorous academic analysis with real-world case studies to present a comprehensive picture of one of the most serious forms of conflict in the 21st century.

The book’s content aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 16, Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, by advocating for stronger international cooperation to counter cyber threats and ensure the security of digital societies.
