Regional Studies Center Holds a Meeting for Research Center Directors at Mosul University

The Regional Studies Center at the University of Mosul held a coordination meeting on Monday, November 17, 2025, bringing together the directors of the university’s research centers to discuss mechanisms for advancing research activities and strengthening collaboration among the various centers.
The meeting addressed preparations for a comprehensive scientific conference that will include all research centers at the University of Mosul, with the resulting academic publications to be indexed in international databases, in line with the University Presidency’s directives to promote high-quality publishing and enhance the university’s academic standing.
The gathering also included discussions on formulating a plan to organize joint activities among the centers, each according to its specialization, with the aim of unifying efforts and maximizing the impact of research in serving the community.
This meeting comes as part of the University of Mosul’s commitment to supporting the path of sustainable development, contributing to the achievement of several key goals, foremost among them:
Goal 4: Quality Education, by supporting high-quality scientific research.
Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, through fostering scientific research, innovation, and the development of an advanced research environment.
Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, by generating studies and policies produced by the research centers.
