Regional Studies Center, through its Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning’s Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, held a training course on Sunday and Monday, September 20–21, 2026, entitled “Applied Scientific Research and Community Service: How to Prepare Electronic Questionnaires and Collect and Analyze Data”. The course was delivered by Prof. Dr. Saddam Mohammed Hameed and Dr. Ahmed Ghazi Taher.

The course aimed to enhance participants’ skills in designing electronic questionnaires, as well as in data collection and analysis, and to promote the effective use of scientific research findings in serving the community and supporting evidence-based decision-making. The course also included practical applications and academic discussions designed to strengthen researchers’ capabilities and develop their research skills.

The course aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly 4 (Quality Education), 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
