Regional Studies Center held a seminar entitled (Iraqi Foreign Policy Towards Saudi Arabia 2015-2019) by Dr. Mithaq Khairallah Jallud, head of the Department of Political and Strategic Studies, in the presence of the researchers of the Center on Wednesday, October 9, 2019.The research aims at describing the reality of the Iraqi foreign policy towards Saudi Arabia and indicating to the transformation since 2015, as well as developing suggested steps for an effective foreign policy towards Saudi Arabia.The researcher pointed out that during the monarchy in Iraq (1921-1958) these relations were characterized by constant fluctuation for political and social reasons, after 2015 there was a shift in the foreign policy of both Iraq and Saudi Arabia reflected on the improvement of relations, especially in 2017, which witnessed intensive visits and the signing of several agreements. The research has been discussed extensively by the researchers of the Center, which contributed to enrich and evaluate the research.
