A New Book by the Director of Regional Studies Center Entitled “Turkey’s Multiple Partnership”

A new book by the Director of Regional Studies Center, Dr. Luqman Omar Al-Nuaimi, entitled “Turkey’s Multiple Partnership: A Study in Turkey’s International Relations after the Cold War (1991-2018): The United States, the European Union, the Russian Federation) has been issued recently by Dar Academic for Publishing & Distribution Co./ Amman. – Jordan, first edition 2021, which is large and contains (480) pages.Al-Naimi said that the book aims to study Turkey’s international relations with the United States of America, the European Union, and the Russian Federation from the end of the Cold War in 1991 until 2018, in the political, economic, and military fields.The author pointed out that the importance of the book stems from being an attempt to shed light on the details of Turkey’s relations with these three world powers in various fields, and whether these relations in their current form amount to the level of a multi-dimensional and strategic partnership and how Turkey was able to balance between these multiple strategic partnerships and maintaining their durability despite the occurrence of tension and coldness periods in its relations with these powers as a result of many factors and regional and international crises that happened during this time.Al-Nuaimi added that the book contained three main chapters, the first one included “Turkey and the United States of America.” While the second chapter dealt with the subject of “Turkey and the European Union”. The third chapter discussed “Turkey and the Russian Federation”. The book ends with a conclusion that includes a summary of the most important outcomes and recommendations.
