We are pleased to welcome you to the official page of the Regional Studies Center at the University of Mosul, an academic institution established in 1985 as one of the first specialized research centers in Iraq and the region.

The Center is dedicated to monitoring and analyzing regional and international issues, stemming from the University of Mosul’s position as a prestigious academic institution that places great emphasis on specialized research centers. This reflects the university’s recognition of the importance of such centers in supporting national vision and enhancing the university’s intellectual role in its local and regional environment.

To establish the Regional Studies Center as a leading research platform at the national and regional levels, contributing to strategic understanding and promoting stability through knowledge, while supporting decision-makers in addressing contemporary challenges.

Our Mission

Our mission is to produce knowledge and analyze regional and international transformations through rigorous studies and scientific approaches that foster dialogue, support peace, and contribute to shared understanding among the peoples and nations of the region, in collaboration with local and international academic partners.

Our Objectives

1- Conducting in-depth studies in the fields of politics, international relations, and contemporary regional issues.

 

2- Organizing conferences, seminars, and workshops that promote a culture of research and scientific dialogue.

 

3- Producing strategic reports and analyses that contribute to public awareness and decision-making.

 

4- Building a network of relationships with local and international research centers to exchange expertise and knowledge.

 

5- Supporting the academic environment at the University of Mosul by providing scientific resources and qualitative studies.

 

6- Encouraging young researchers and developing their research skills through specialized programs.
