Remote Sensing Center at the Forum on the Role of Academic Women in Building a Sustainable Digital Future
Based on the invitation extended by the Northern Technical University, the Remote Sensing Center, represented by Dr. Abeer Adel Mohammed, participated in the scientific forum entitled “The Role of Academic Women in Building a Sustainable Digital Future,” held on May 28, 2025, at the Technical College of Engineering for Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.
The forum was opened by the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, with a speech in which she emphasized the importance of empowering women in technical fields. Dr. Nada Matar Abbas Al-Abadi, Director of the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education, also delivered a speech about the Ministry’s support for academic women. The forum included a presentation of the success story of Dr. Avin Najm, an artificial intelligence specialist from Cardiff University, UK. Dr. Abeer Adel Mohammed participated in the dialogue session entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education,” where the importance of artificial intelligence in developing education and digital transformation in Iraq was discussed.
The forum witnessed a wide academic presence and visual presentations that highlighted some of the achievements of female teachers.
