A new seminar at the Remote Sensing Center on Dam Reservoir Management
On Monday, April 14, 2025, the Remote Sensing Center held a specialized seminar entitled “Geometric Analysis of Dam Reservoirs,” delivered by Mr. Akram Mohammed Saleh.
The seminar addressed the importance of geometric analysis in studying and evaluating the storage capacity of dam reservoirs, in addition to its role in water resource management and determining the efficiency of engineering designs. The lecturer also reviewed the latest technologies adopted in the field of remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS) in analyzing topographic and hydrological data.
The seminar was attended by researchers and members of the Center specializing in water resources and geomatics engineering. It was enriched by scientific discussions and practical suggestions. The seminar was praised for the scientific material presented, the high standard of the material, and the distinguished academic presentation.
