A scientific research paper by a lecturer at the Remote Sensing Center was published in Scopus
A scientific research paper by Professor Rayan Ghazi Thanoon, a lecturer affiliated with the Remote Sensing Center at the University of Mosul, was published in a scientific journal indexed in Scopus. The paper was published in Issue (3), Volume (18) of the Bulletin of the Iraq Natural History Museum for the year 2025, titled:
CLASSIFYING FLUVIAL LANDFORMS USING GEOSPATIAL MODELING IN AL-ASHAALI WATERSHED, IRAQI SOUTHERN DESERT
The aim of this research was to analyze the natural factors influencing the formation of terrain and to understand geomorphological processes in desert and semi-arid regions. This research represents an important scientific contribution to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 15 (Life on Land), by enhancing knowledge of the state of terrestrial ecosystems and analyzing the impacts of erosion and desertification on watersheds.
