Remote Sensing Center

The Remote Sensing Center at the University of Mosul organized a workshop titled “Research – Horizon – Navigator” on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Center’s lecture hall.

The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Ramzi Qubaa, Director of the Center. The lecture focused on how to select up-to-date research topics and identify emerging trends in various disciplines, which in turn can enhance publication opportunities in top-tier (Q1) journals. This can be achieved through the use of the Research – Horizon – Navigator tool provided by the Web of Science platform.

The workshop aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).

The event was attended by the Center’s faculty members and staff, and included a fruitful scientific discussion on the importance of strengthening research skills to develop innovative scientific solutions that contribute to publishing in reputable international journals and improving the university’s global ranking.
