Remote Sensing Center Holds a Seminar on the Impact of Using Artificial Intelligence Tools in Scientific Research Writing
In line with the University of Mosul’s vision to keep pace with modern technological developments and employ them in serving scientific research, the Remote Sensing Center held a seminar on Monday, November 10, 2025, entitled “The Impact of Using Artificial Intelligence Tools in Scientific Research Writing.”
The seminar was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Faten Aziz Mustafa, who discussed the most prominent AI tools that can be utilized throughout the stages of preparing scientific research — starting from collecting sources and organizing data, through statistical analysis and academic writing, to improving the quality of writing and language proofreading.
The seminar also included a practical demonstration of key platforms and software that support researchers, such as tools for reference generation, plagiarism detection, and academic style enhancement.
The session concluded with an open discussion on the ethical and scientific challenges of using artificial intelligence in research and emphasized the importance of responsible and thoughtful use of these technologies.
