A delegation from the Remote Sensing Center at the University of Mosul, headed by Dr. Alaa Nabil Hamdoun, Head of the Natural Resources and Engineering Sciences Department at the Center, visited the Nineveh General Directorate of Education. The delegation was received by Dr. Haifa Qadir Jirjis, Deputy Director for Technical Affairs, in the presence of Assistant Lecturer Yasser Al-Mijlab, Head of the Educational Planning Department at the Directorate.

During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to utilize the Center’s academic expertise, technical capabilities, and available resources to support the educational sector and institutional planning. They emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships between the university and educational institutions to promote integration and improve institutional performance.

The visit aligns with the University of Mosul’s commitment to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through supporting educational development, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by fostering cooperation and building effective partnerships between academic and educational institutions.
