The Scientific and Literary Forum

The Scientific and Literary Forum is one of the key cultural and academic facilities at the University of Mosul. Established in 2005, it was envisioned as an intellectual space dedicated to hosting scientific and cultural activities. Occupying an area of 2,025 square meters with a seating capacity of 200, the Forum is well-suited for specialized academic and literary events.

Halls and Facilities

The Forum comprises two main halls designed to accommodate a variety of academic needs:
• First Hall: Designated for University Council meetings, underscoring the Forum’s status as a venue for strategic and high-level administrative decision-making.
• Second Hall: Utilized for seminars, training workshops, discussion circles, conferences, and small-scale meetings, contributing to the intellectual and scientific vibrancy of the University.

Institutional Role

The Forum is more than an administrative facility; it also serves as an interactive cultural and intellectual platform. It provides opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers to engage in dialogue, exchange ideas, and organize scientific and literary discussions. Through these activities, the Forum fosters a university environment that encourages creativity, scholarship, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Academic and Cultural Contribution

As an extension of the University of Mosul’s vision, the Forum offers specialized academic spaces that integrate educational processes with cultural and social engagement. With its versatile infrastructure and multifaceted functions, it has become a prominent campus landmark that embodies the University’s mission of uniting science and literature, knowledge and creativity. The Scientific and Literary Forum thus stands as an essential contributor to academic and humanistic life at the University.
