The Permanent Committee for Renewable and Sustainable Energies at the Presidency of the University of Mosul is holding a workshop entitled (The Importance of Using Renewable and Sustainable Energies in Our University).

The Permanent Committee for Renewable and Sustainable Energy at the University of Mosul held a workshop entitled “The Importance of Using Renewable and Sustainable Energy in Our University” in the Accreditation Hall at the College of Medicine on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The workshop was attended by heads of studies and planning departments from all colleges and centers, as well as liaison officers.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the importance of transitioning to renewable and sustainable energy sources and to highlight their role in supporting the university’s efforts to achieve sustainable development goals and protect the environment. It also aimed to rationalize energy consumption and reduce reliance on traditional energy sources.

The workshop included a presentation on key concepts related to renewable and sustainable energy and the importance of its application in educational institutions. It also showcased several practical experiences and applications that contribute to improving energy efficiency and achieving environmental sustainability on campus.

This workshop is part of a series of events and programs organized by the Permanent Committee for Renewable and Sustainable Energy at the University of Mosul to promote environmental awareness, support clean energy projects, and instill sustainability principles throughout the university.
