The Dean’s Strategic Plan for the College of Veterinary Medicine

The College is working to elevate the quality of education through both programmatic and institutional accreditation by 2026. Its efforts include aligning curricula with the Bologna Process and upgrading laboratories and teaching facilities to strengthen practical and clinical training.

In research, the College places strong emphasis on publishing in prestigious international journals, supporting the Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Sciences, and fostering collaborations with ministries and universities at both national and international levels to address societal challenges.

Human resource development is also a priority. Continuous training programs, academic conferences, faculty qualification enhancement, and a spirit of teamwork are encouraged, alongside initiatives that motivate students to engage in both scientific and athletic activities.

On the financial side, the College seeks to expand its resources by operating advanced laboratories and model animal facilities, broadening the services of its veterinary teaching hospital, and opening new channels of income through consultancy and scientific services.

International partnerships and strategic planning form another key pillar. The College is committed to expanding its infrastructure and laboratory capacity, serving society through training and professional development, and aligning its research with the Sustainable Development Goals in both animal and human health.
