College of Tourism Sciences Holds the Second Meeting of the Industrial Advisory Council

The College of Tourism Sciences held the second meeting of its Industrial Advisory Council on Monday, July 7, 2025. Chaired by the College’s dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, the meeting was attended by members of the council and several representatives from the tourism sector.
The council discussed many key topics, foremost among them the presentation of practical proposals for celebrating World Tourism Day, which will be held on September 27. The proposed activities aim to promote tourism culture and raise awareness of the importance of the tourism sector among students and the local community.
The meeting also addressed ways to enhance cooperation with international universities to develop curricula, assess student performance, and improve graduate competencies in line with labor market needs. This meeting is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to build fruitful relationships with academic and industry institutions and to elevate the quality of its educational and training programs.
It is worth noting that the meeting supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by enhancing graduate capabilities and aligning with labor market demands. It also contributes to Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration between the college and the tourism sector.
