Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences Participates in the “Iraqi University Leadership Program

Professor Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, participated in the Academic Leadership Development Program entitled “Iraqi University Leadership Towards Excellence and Sustainability 2030.” The program was organized by the National Center for Administrative Development and Information Technology, affiliated with the Ministry of Planning, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The program was held in Baghdad from 21 to 25 June 2026 and brought together a distinguished group of college deans and university leaders from the University of Mosul and other Iraqi universities.
The program aimed to enhance the leadership and administrative competencies of academic leaders by strengthening their skills in strategic planning and decision-making in line with the requirements of sustainable development and Iraq Vision 2030. It also provided participants with insights into the latest administrative practices adopted in higher education institutions.
The program featured a series of specialized lectures and workshops covering institutional leadership, good governance, change management, quality assurance and academic accreditation, and sustainability in higher education institutions. These topics were designed to promote institutional excellence and enhance the overall performance of Iraqi universities.
